    Ingredients

    • Beetroot – 2 big
    • Cherry Tomatoes – 200gms
    • Onion – 2 big
    • Garlic – 20 cloves
    • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

    Process

    1. Chop the Beetroot and Onions into Quarters and place them in a baking tray
    2. Add the Cherry Tomatoes and and Garlic cloves to the tray and drizzle the olive oil evenly over the vegetables
    3. Bake in an oven at 200°Celcius for 25minutes and let it cool down
    4. Put all the baked vegetables into a blender and puree till your desired consistency, in our recipe we have blended it till just before being pasty to have some grainy texture.
    5. Heat in a pan and add salt to taste along with any other herbs you may like to add
    6. Your Beetroot Pizza and Pasta Sauce is now ready

     

    Varaitions

    1. Pink Sauce – Heating the sauce with 150ml of Milk along with 50gms of Parmesan cheese can help create a great cheesy and creamy Pasta sauce
    2. Dip for Chips – Cool the sauce in the Refrigerator and add chopped jalapenos and olives along with some Extra Virgin Olive Oil to make a great dip to go with Nachos and even Lavash.
    3. Over Vegetables that can be used – If beetroot flavour is too strong for you, you can instead use Carrots, Caulfilower, Zucchini or even broccoli.
